New Zealand gambling number down slightly

NEW ZEALAND – As reported by the New Zealand Stuff: "Spending on gambling has dropped slightly in the past year, official figures show.

"Internal Affairs Minister Rick Barker today released figures showing spending on the main forms of gambling fell from $2.027 billion in 2004-2005 to $1.977b in the year to June 30, 2006.

"…The decline was due to a drop in spending on non-casino pokie machines, Mr Barker said…"
