New Zealand Casino Official: Most Gamblers Honest

NEW ZEALAND – As reported by the (New Zealand) Stuff: "The number of people suspected of cheating at casinos has not changed over the past year with the majority of gamblers playing it by the rules, the Casino Control Authority says.

"The annual report of the authority for the year ended June 30 shows there were 77 reported incidents of suspected cheating across the country's six casinos. There were also 77 suspected cases last year, but there were only five casinos operating at that stage.

"…Casino Control Authority chief executive Trevor Garrett said there were numerous ways patrons attempted to cheat the system, including trying to move chips after games had started and dealers colluding with patrons.

"…But he believed the number of actual cheaters was low…"
