New Zealand casino debate reaches court

NEW ZEALAND -- As reported by Radio New Zealand -- "An attempt by Parliament to block an increase in casino gambling has reached the Court of Appeal, amid confusion over the meaning of the 2003 Gambling Act.

"The Gambling Commission and Sky City Casino cannot agree on what is meant by a clause which prohibits an increase in the opportunities for casino gambling..."
