New York VLT Vote Tonight

NEW YORK – As reported by the Pennsylvania Daily & Sunday Review: "Legislators will vote today at 6 p.m. on whether or not Video Lottery Terminals will be allowed within the county.

"A 'yes' vote will pave the way for the opening of Tioga Downs racetrack and casino, which would open this winter. Jeff Gural, the facility's owner and president, has said harness racing would then start in May of 2006.

"…Gural has said the race track could bring more than 370 new jobs to the region.

"In April, six of the county's nine legislators - Marty Borko, Richard Huttleston, William Oberbeck, Michael Roberts, Don Burns and Dale Weston - said they believed the legislature would vote in favor for the racetrack and casino…"
