New York Ticket Wins Mega Million Jackpot

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions is on a roll! One ticket matched all six Mega Millions numbers in the Tuesday, August 1, 2006 drawing, and now players in Queens, New York are checking their tickets to see who won the estimated $31 million jackpot. This is the sixth Mega Millions jackpot won in less than three months!

The winning numbers for Tuesday's drawing were: 14-29-32-43-49 and the Mega Ball number was 14.

The holder of the winning jackpot ticket is not the only Mega Millions winner in Tuesday's drawing. A total of 362,674 other tickets won other Mega Millions prizes.

The two tickets that each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California and New Jersey.

The jackpot for the Friday, August 4, 2006 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
