New York Racino-resort project bogs down14 December 2009KIAMESHA LAKE, New York -- There is no indication of when the stalled $1 billion racino-resort project at the famed Concord site will resume, according to a report in the Times Herald-Record. Public records indicate significant debt is owed to 19 contractors, the report mentioned. The developer, Louis Cappelli, insisted that contractors would eventually be paid and the project restarted, he blamed the problems on the global economic meltdown, the report said. |
