New York Could See More Casinos

NEW YORK – As reported by the Buffalo Business First: "New York could be in line for two more casinos, according to published reports in the Albany Times-Union.

"Casinos in downtown Rochester and on Cayuga Lake are being discussed by state officials and the Seneca-Cayuga tribe, says the Albany daily paper, which attributed the story to two unidentified sources.

"The prospective deal would expand the scope of casino gambling across upstate New York. Original legislation passed by the state Legislature in 2001 had authorized tribal casinos only in Western New York and the Catskills…"
