New PPE relief treatment at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino25 October 2020(PRESS RELEASE) -- With the increased use of personal protective equipment in recent months, many have experienced skin irritations from regular use. The Spa and Salon at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino introduces a PPE relief treatment, targeting the skin under protective face masks. “In the past, typically only health care workers were familiar with skin irritations from wearing personal protective equipment, but now many more of us have experienced “maskne” and other skin irritations from wearing face masks, goggles, face shields and gloves,” said Sara Chatham, Beau Rivage’s Director of Recreation Services. “Virtually every type of PPE can cause lack of moisture, overheating and sweating, that when combined with friction can lead to skin issues. The combination of the PPE relief cream, mask and probiotic deeply penetrates and helps seal the skin from breakouts.” Throughout the month of November, guests can enhance any facial with the PPE relief treatment for $35 while supplies last. Intended to target the skin underneath the protective face mask, skin is left calm and deeply nourished following a probiotic serum, a peel off marine mask and application of Skin Authority’s PPE Relief Cream. The process rehydrates the skin with a soothing barrier, helping with aging, fine lines and soothing redness and adds Vitamin D back into the skin. Locals can enjoy a 15 percent discount on spa and salon services Monday through Thursday. For active duty and retired military, Beau Rivage offers 25 percent off spa and salon services every day through MGM Resorts International’s Military and Veterans Program (MVP). The Spa and Salon at Beau Rivage, which ranks No. 52 on Spas of America’s Top 100 Spas, boasts 14 massage rooms; five facial treatment rooms; two deluxe pedicure rooms; five manicure stations; six stylist stations; a workout facility featuring top-of-the-line Life Fitness Cybex equipment; and separate vanity areas for men and women featuring steam, sauna and whirlpool amenities. For the health and safety of salon guests and team members, stations are spaced to allow for social distancing and all employees wear face masks or shields, depending on the service. Health and safety protocols at The Salon at Beau Rivage are in accordance with MGM Resorts International’s comprehensive Seven-Point Safety Plan. The plan infuses health and safety into the resort experience and includes masks, training and mandatory temperature checks for team members; physical distancing; handwashing stations and enhanced sanitization; HVAC controls and air quality; incident response protocols and digital innovations. |
