New Pennsylvania Gaming Board Head Candidate Named

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Pennsylvania Revenue Secretary Greg Fajt, a former Democratic state representative from Mt. Lebanon, is a candidate to chair the state's gambling board, Gov. Ed Rendell said Thursday.

"Rendell said Fajt is one of several people under consideration, even though naming Fajt would be 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' since he is doing a good job as secretary of the Revenue Department.

"…Rendell appointed Fajt, 49, as his budget man in 2003 and earlier this year named him to head a committee researching gambling-related issues in preparation for the Gaming Control Board's work. Fajt served in the House from 1991 to 1996…"
