New NTRA head named

NEW YORK – As reported by Business First: "Alex Waldrop, a former president and chief counsel of Churchill Downs race track, has been named president and CEO of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.

"Waldrop currently is a partner at Wyatt, Tarrant and Combs law firm, where he chairs the equine, gaming and entertainment practice group. Its clients include the NTRA and Churchill Downs.
