New Mexico Track Receives Approval for Slots

NEW MEXICO – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Following the lead of the New Mexico Racing Commission, the state Gaming Control Board on Tuesday awarded Zia Park Partners a license to operate a racino in Hobbs, New Mexico.

"Board approval was one of the provisions of the license granted by the racing commission and was the last regulatory hurdle for the group, which hopes to begin operating slot machines and simulcasting by late next year with live racing inaugurated in fall 2005…"
