New job opportunities at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh22 March 2021(PRESS RELEASE) -- Spring has sprung, and new job opportunities are popping up at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. Job seekers have not one but two chances to learn more and potentially get hired, starting with a Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. (PCSI) virtual meet and greet event on Thursday, 25 March, at 11 a.m., followed by the casino’s next free dealer school starting on Monday, 26 April. Rivers Casino Hiring Managers Lead Virtual Meet & Greet Hosted by PCSI Rivers Casino hiring managers will be heading up an information session about current job openings in the food and beverage, security, slots, and table games departments during a virtual meet and greet on Thursday, March 25, at 11 a.m. The event will be hosted by PCSI, a Pittsburgh nonprofit that serves as the city’s anti-poverty agency. Those interested in virtually attending must register with PCSI’s Job Developer, Beth Suter. Beth can be reached at 412-904-4710 or elizabeths@pghcsi.org. Once registered, attendees will be sent a link to the Google Meet event the day of. Candidates are encouraged to register any time before March 25. "With this mission in mind, we urge folks to sign up for this job opportunity information session with Rivers Casino, one of the largest and most-respected employers in Pittsburgh." Registration Now Open for FREE April Dealer School Looking for a seat at the table? Of more than 200 dealers hired at Rivers Casino over the past two years, 80% have come through dealer school. Rivers Casino will be hosting a FREE dealer school course beginning Monday, April 26, at the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC). There will be A.M. and P.M. classes offered. The online registration deadline is Wednesday, April 14. Once participants pass their final audition and obtain their gaming license, they will receive a job offer from Rivers Casino Pittsburgh as a part-time dealer. Applicants must be 18 years or older. This program welcomes participants of all levels—from beginners with no knowledge of table games to those with more experience. The vast majority of positive-minded, motivated and disciplined dealer school students become successful table games dealers at Rivers Casino. The Rivers Casino dealer school teaches students a range of popular games beginning with Blackjack. Near the end of the six-week class, all poker variants are taught: Mississippi stud, 3 and 4 card poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’ Em poker. Rivers Casino offers part-time dealers benefits including paid time off, paid breaks throughout each shift, up to two earned personal days per year, paid holidays throughout the year, and participation in the 401(k) plan with a generous company match. Candidates must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Interested dealer school participants can learn more details and apply online. Applications submitted after 14 April will be considered for future classes. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh meets or exceeds all health and safety requirements from the CDC, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Allegheny County, as well as COVID-19 Casino Reopening Protocols outlined by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
