New Jersey: Senate Committee approves racing legislation22 June 2011NEW JERSEY -- Racing legislation was approved by a Senate Committe yesterday, Bloodhorse reported. The legislation which permits joint operation of Monmouth Park and Meadowlands by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority now moves to the full Senate for approval, the report explained. The bill will see the number of racing days at Monmouth set at 71 while fees will be able to be negotiated with Atlantic City casinos and out of state racetracks for simulcasts, Bloodhorse said. |
