New Jersey: Racing industry lost millions last year

For the past two years it has lost tens of millions of dollars, and this year will be even worse, the report said.

The racetracks, however, provide thousands of jobs and generate other profits and what to do about them is now the pressing consideration.

A panel comprising seven members has been set up to examine the situation along with Atlantic City's casino struggle, The Star-Ledger said.
