New Jersey racetracks want casino gambling

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey -- Monmouth Park and Meadowlands Racetracks want the state to allow casino gambling at them, Ashberry Park Press reported.

The racetrack operators imply that introducing gambling at racetracks would result in a cash injection of $350 million for government coffers, the report said.

Atlantic City casino operators have expressed reservations about competition from racetrack casino gambling, the Ashberry Park Press said.
