New Jersey Officials Target Online Gambling18 November 2003EDISON, New Jersey – As reported by News 12 (New Jersey): ``For the past year and a half, New Jersey lawmakers have been cracking down on Internet gambling. Officials say, despite the fact that it is illegal, online gambling has risen in the Garden State. ``State Attorney General Peter Harvey admits Internet gambling is difficult to stop because some of the betting Web sites are based outside of New Jersey and sometimes outside the United States. ``As a result, Harvey …is looking to stop companies from collecting against people that lose money through online wagers…" |
