Nevada Regulators Endorse New Four Queens Owner

4 April 2002

CARSON CITY, Nevada –As reported by the Associated Press: “Terry Caudill, a casino industry veteran who started out as a dice dealer, was endorsed Wednesday as the new owner of the Four Queens hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas.

”The state Gaming Control Board's recommendation on Caudill, who finalized the purchase last month, now goes to its parent Nevada Gaming Commission, which will have final say April 18.

”…Caudill, recommended for licensing as the Four Queens president, secretary, treasurer and director, said he has no plans to change the hotel-casino's 900 employees - including top management - or its name.

”Starting out as a Reno craps dealer 28 years ago, Caudill earned double degrees in accounting and mathematics and wound up as corporate vice president and chief accounting officer for Circus Circus Enterprises Inc., now Mandalay Resort Group, for 11 years.

”He started Magoo's restaurant chain in 1989, and left Circus Circus in 1994 to concentrate on developing Magoo's, which now has 15 locations in southern Nevada. He also owns the Chicago Brewery and Hurricane Harry's…”
