Nevada Property Re-opening

28 November 2003

NEVADA – The Roadhouse Casino, 2100 N. Boulder Highway, is expected to re-open under new ownership and management this evening after having been closed for more than a year.

The property will feature a 1,600-square-foot dance floor, the Cowboy Up Lounge restaurant and a country and western theme. It will also feature mechanical bull rides and live country and western music most nights of the week, said Joe Sulima, a partner in the property.

"We want to bring back the Roadhouse to what it used to be, a place for the locals," he said.

The property was built in the 1950s and was one of the only casinos on the way to Lake Mead and Boulder City. It became the Roadhouse Casino in 1992 and featured a retro 1950s theme.

The property expects to eventually install slot machines sometime next year once it is approved by gaming regulators, Sulima said. It will offer a minimum of 200 slots.
