Nevada Keno Game Set To Expand

11 December 2001

NEVADA – Dec. 11, 2001 --Las Vegas Gaming Inc. said it is poised to dramatically expand the reach of its "Nevada Numbers" progressive keno game, following its approval by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Nevada Numbers is a hybrid between a keno game and lotto, giving the player the option to pick up to five numbers in a field of 80. If a player correctly picks all five numbers that are drawn, the player wins a progressive jackpot that starts at $5 million. Games are held once a day at Bally's Las Vegas and are simulcast to other casinos.

The game made its trial debut in Nevada at Bally's Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Hilton, Reno Hilton, Flamingo Las Vegas and Flamingo Laughlin -- all owned by Park Place Entertainment Corp. With the Nevada Gaming Commission's approval of the game in November, Las Vegas Gaming said it will be adding the game at 10 casinos in Nevada in the next several weeks.

Casinos adding the game include the New Frontier, the Sahara and Imperial Palace on the Strip; the Castaways on the Boulder Strip; and Mahoney's Silver Nugget and Jerry's Nugget in North Las Vegas.
