Nevada Boxing Continues Season with Bouts at the Eldorado11 February 2011RENO, Nev. (February 8, 2011) – After a successful opening weekend at the Eldorado Hotel Casino the nationally ranked University of Nevada Boxing Team continues its season with home bouts inside the Eldorado Convention Center at the end of February and into mid-March. The next chance to catch the Nevada Boxers in action is February 25, when several California schools come to Reno to compete. Participants include the University of Santa Clara, San Jose State, Cal Berkeley, UNLV and the University of Washington. Tickets are available through the Eldorado Box Office online at www.eldoradoreno.com or over the phone at 775-786-5700. The National Collegiate Boxing Association's Western Regional's will also be held at the Eldorado Convention Center Thursday through Saturday, March 17 to 19. Nevada will compete against familiar teams in San Jose State, the University of Santa Clara, Cal Berkeley, the University of Washington, Cal Davis and the University of San Francisco. In their first home bout on Friday, February 4, Nevada's fighters went 6-1 against Air Force. Winners included Dylan Crosby and Will Dixon, who both won in the second round as the opposing corners gave up their fights. The five other bouts were determined by decision.
