NDP Targets Opponents Over Gambling Issue

NOVA SCOTIA – As reported by the CBC News: "NDP Leader Allison Brewer criticized her Conservative and Liberal opponents for supporting legalized gambling during the latest leaders' debate of the election campaign.

"Brewer made the comments during Sunday night's debate on Rogers Television. She says it's another example of how the two mainstream parties are similar.

"…In one question, the leaders were asked about proposals to build 'racinos' — harness racing facilities that include video gambling machines — in various locations across New Brunswick, including Saint John.

"…She said that both Lord and Graham are in favour of allowing gambling, then spending money to fix the problems — such as addiction — that it creates…"
