Music Series Returns to Saratoga Raceway

SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York – (PRESS RELEASE) --The sounds and rhythms of many kinds of music along with the best entertainers in the area return to the party tent this summer at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. The Free Summer Concert Series kicks off Memorial Day weekend with the first performance by Good for the Soul on Friday, May 27 at 9 p.m. The series will continue every Friday and Saturday nights through September with the bonus of Thursday nights added to the schedule in July. Following a successful season last year, the tent at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is the perfect place to celebrate the summer season.

"Our first summer season in Saratoga Springs was very exciting and it is with great pleasure that we bring back the Free Summer Concert Series," said Jamie Hartman, General Manager of Saratoga Gaming and Raceway.

"We heard only great feedback from the patrons and community members that attended the Series last year, and we wanted to provide that fun experience for them again," he added.

The 110 foot by 40 foot tent is located next to the gaming facility and will offer a roomy seating area, a large bar for easy service with great drink specials, a terrific dance floor, and a stage with top-of-the-line sound and lighting equipment. The party tent will open at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights with live music acts beginning at 9 p.m. Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to enter the tent. A short list of the bands performing include: The Burners UK, The Refrigerators, New York Players, The McKrells, and Hair of the Dog. Two special nights, Sundays June 5 and August 28, will be "Saratoga Sunday Dance Under the Tent" presented by Magic 100.9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets for these special nights must be purchased in advance.

The first gaming facility to open in New York State, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway boasts over 1,300 state-of-the-art video gaming machines, a full service restaurant with buffet, three full-service bars, a food court and deli, a gift shop, and a variety of guest services including valet parking and coat check. Patrons can participate in our player rewards program, Player Extras Club while visiting the property.

The 55,000 square foot gaming floor cost $15 million to construct and employs an additional 300 local residents. Our full service restaurant, overlooking the excitement of live harness racing, seats 400 guests and can accommodate large group events. Video gaming and food and beverage operations at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway are managed by Delaware North Companies Inc., a leading hospitality and entertainment management group headquartered in Buffalo, NY.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is located on Crescent Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY. Operating hours for the gaming facility are 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. Must be 18 years of age or older to play Video Gaming Machines. Please play responsibly. Simulcast races can be viewed Tuesday through Sunday. Live Harness races are held Wednesday through Saturday evenings. Post time for all races is 7:10 p.m. Must be 18 or older to wager on horses.
