Mr Green hit with fine from Swedish Gambling Authority

18 December 2024

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mr Green Limited receives a warning and will pay fines of SEK 1.5 million for deficiencies in the work to prevent the company from being used for money laundering, and SEK 12 million for deficiencies in the duty of care. It is now clear after the Supreme Administrative Court’s decision not to grant leave to appeal.

The decision of the Swedish Gambling Inspectorate was appealed to the administrative court, which rejected the appeal and then to the Administrative Court of Appeal only in respect of the stated deficiencies in the duty of care. The Administrative Court of Appeal amended the decision in such a way that the sanction fee was reduced.
