Mountain High Casino Names GM

COLORADO – As reported by the Kansas City Star: "The first woman to break the glass ceiling in Kansas City's casino industry has been named senior vice president and general manager at Mountain High Casino.

"Ameristar Casinos Inc. announced Michelle Shriver's appointment Monday.

"…Shriver was vice president and assistant general manager at the Ameristar Kansas City Casino and Hotel. Her December 2002 appointment made her the first woman in this market with 'general manager' in her title.

"With the Colorado appointment, Shriver becomes the third woman to run an Ameristar casino. Mountain High is Colorado's largest casino, in Black Hawk, about 40 miles from Denver…"
