Morongo Casino Resort and Spa scores top marks29 August 2008CABAZON, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The scores have been tallied and Morongo Casino Resort & Spa has received the highest score for "overall job satisfaction" in the Native American Casino Industry. According to an independent survey conducted in 2007 by HR Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-based management consulting firm, Morongo achieved a 73% favorable rating, three percentage points above the national gaming average of 70%. HR Solutions obtained the score by analyzing responses to the question, "All and all, I am satisfied with my job." From this, HR Solutions ranked the highest and lowest scores in the Industry. "It is a tremendous honor to receive this type of recognition in the industry," said Sean Sullivan, General Manager of the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. In 2007, Sullivan and his management team instilled a "coaching" approach when interacting with fellow employees and, from this, emphasized a desirable work environment. Sullivan, who looks at himself as the Morongo "Head Coach" refers to his employees as "Team Members" who are a part of "Team Morongo." "Morongo is very proud of its Team Members," said Sullivan. "We guide and foster our team with great leadership and positive reinforcement. Receiving this distinction shows that our management team is doing a great job coaching." Not only does Morongo offer a positive work environment, but thanks to the generosity of the Morongo Band of Missions Indian, the owners of Morongo, the property offers great incentive programs, competitive salaries and unbeatable benefits. Morongo continually rewards Team Members with cash, gas cards, and movie tickets for excelling in their job and providing outstanding customer service. On top of incentives, Morongo continually offers programs that help Team Members in their every day lives, coming up with programs such as Book Fairs and Wellness Expos. Morongo also offers benefit programs that are free to Team Members, receiving discounts on movie tickets and rentals, theme parks, sporting events, family events, on-line shopping, and gift certificates. " Our Team Members continually provide an "MVP" effort to the Morongo Team and we reward them for their all-star performance," said Sullivan. "I'd like to personally thank our entire team for the dedicated service; their efforts have contributed greatly to our success." The National Normative Gaming research included roughly 37,000 employees in 27 gaming organizations all surveyed by HR Solutions, Inc. |
