More time requested for Tropicana sale30 May 2008ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "The state-appointed conservator for the Tropicana Atlantic City today asked the Casino Control Commission for additional time to complete the sale of the casino hotel complex. "'I have determined that, in light of marketplace conditions and the Chapter 11 filing of Tropicana Entertainment, to seek an extension of the sale process,' conservator Gary S. Stein said. "'My financial advisors and I have received expressions of interest from potential buyers – some as recently as in the last week.
