Mohican Leader Optimistic About Casino Plans

NEW YORK – As reported by the Hudson Valley News: "The president of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians is encouraged that there will be real movement in his tribe's effort to develop a casino in Sullivan County.

"Robert Chicks told MidHudsonNews.com that all parties are 'genuinely committed' to resolving land claim issues in Madison and Oneida counties in upstate New York.

"Chicks thinks the issues could move toward resolution in the next several months.

"…The Stockbridge-Munsees want to build a casino in Bridgeville."
