Mohegan Sun reports large decline in profits

CONNECTICUT -- Profits at The Mohegan Sun took a tumble in first quarter, The Hartford Courant reported.

Net income fell 40 percent from same period the previous year and The Mohegan Tribal Gaming authority who own the casino attributed it to "weakness in the gaming sector", the Hartford Courant report quoted.

Operating income was down 11 percent, the report said.
