Mohegan Sun presents 20th anniversary schedule15 August 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- After 20 years of welcoming millions of guests through its doors to experience the region's finest accommodations, casino offerings and live entertainment, Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce today additional acts and details to the exciting lineup of special events to take place throughout October in tribute to the property's 20th anniversary celebration. From country to comedy and hip-hop to rock 'n' roll, the East Coast's top entertainment destination is rolling out the red carpet for the world's biggest performers and celebrity talent in what is sure to be the must-see celebration of the fall season. As part of this huge milestone, Mohegan Sun will be presenting its "20th Anniversary Comedy All-Star Gala" hosted by Kevin Hart starring Sarah Silverman, Dave Attell, Margaret Cho and more. Set to feature an evening of stand-up comedy performances, the event will take place on Friday, Oct. 14 at 8:00 p.m., the same day as the release of Hart's groundbreaking movie What Now, performed in front of an 50,000 people at Lincoln Financial Field. The 20th anniversary festivities will continue throughout the weekend, with Fergie performing in Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Lynyrd Skynyrd closing out the incredible weekend in the Arena on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the 20th Anniversary Comedy All Star Gala and Lynyrd Skynyrd go on sale Friday, Aug. 19 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for Fergie go on sale Saturday, Aug. 20 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available for purchase on the Ticketmaster website or by calling Ticketmaster's national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000. Mohegan Sun is also thrilled to announce that the Tedeschi Trucks Band will be bringing their "Let Me Get By World Tour 2016" to Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, Oct. 30 and SNL Alum and Broadway star Ana Gasteyer will be perfroming a very special set of three performances in The Cabaret Theatre on Friday, Oct. 7, Saturday Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9. Tickets for both Tedeschi Trucks Band and Ana Gasteyer go on sale Friday, Aug. 26 at 10:00 a.m through Ticketmaster. From Oct. 1 through Oct. 30, Mohegan Sun's nationally recognized venues, including the 10,000-seat Arena, which was recently named the 2016 "Arena of the Year" at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas and known for showcasing top headlining concerts and premier sporting events, will host more than 40 acts (with over 30 Grammy Awards among all) for fans to enjoy throughout the month.
