Mohegan Sun hosts Vietnamese concert

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Come join us for the most exciting Vietnamese Concert at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, October 13th at 11:30pm. This phenomenal live performance features Khanh Ly, Tuan Anh, Dan Truong and Lam Truong and a group of famous singers and models hosted by Nguyen Ngoc Ngan and Leyna Nguyen.

Leyna was crowned "Miss Asia," in 1987 and made broadcast history by becoming the first newscaster to anchor on two stations in the same market. She is one of the stations' most able and popular newswomen, and a highly requested speaker. Leyna was nominated for an Emmy and won several first-place awards for her special on the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, Vietnam; The Journey Back.

Nguyen Ngoc Ngan is a Vietnamese and Canadian writer and essayist. His first published work, The Will of Heaven: A story of One Vietnamese and the End of His World (Hutton 1982), was a memoir co-written in English with E.E. Richey. He has since published 25 novels and collections of short stories in Vietnamese, and is by far the most popular author in the overseas Vietnamese community. He is also famous as a host of a series of music-variety videos, "Paris by Night," most often filmed in Las Vegas.
