Mohegan Sun hosts karate tournament19 September 2007UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The 2007 Mohegan Sun National Karate Championships will kick into high gear at 9:00am on Sunday, September 23rd in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun. Martial arts competitors from across the United States and Canada will battle it out for cash, prizes and the title of Grand Champion in their division. Then, in the evening, the Battle at the Sun 2 will take place at 7:00pm, featuring the next generation of amateur No Holds Barred-Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters battling to become the next generation of MMA Champions. This event is a USKBA/ Amateur MMA Genesis-ranked competition. The Mohegan Sun National Karate Championships is directed and promoted by Peter Rogers from Peter Rogers Karate and Kickboxing Center in Norwich, Connecticut, and is Krane AAAAA plus rated and NASKA AA-rated. Ticket prices are $20.00 (adults) and $10.00 (kids) for the daytime tournament. In the evening, tickets are $20.00 for general admission, $30.00 for ringside seats and $50.00 for golden ringside.
