Mohegan Sun holding Summer Showdown tournament28 June 2010NCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- As the weather heats up, so does the action in the Poker Room at Mohegan Sun as they get ready to kick off the second annual Summer Showdown Poker Tournament. This four-day event begins Friday, July 16th in the Convention Center and will feature various events with affordable buy-ins. "The Summer Showdown will include various buy-ins that are tailored to all levels of players," said Bruce Dixon, Director of Poker for Mohegan Sun. "We are coming off our largest and most successful tournament, the PokerStars.net North American Tour (NAPT) and we look to sustain that momentum." This year's Summer Showdown begins with $250.00 No-Limit Hold' Em event on Friday, July 16th, followed by, a $1,100 No-Limit Hold' Em event on Saturday, July 17th. Various Hold' Em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud and Bounty tournaments will also be held on July 18th and 19th. Weekly Satellite Qualifying Tournaments for Mohegan Sun's Summer Showdown Poker Tournament begin on Tuesday, July 6th and run throughout the month of July until the tournaments kick off on July 16th.
