Missouri Officials Wants Casino Agreement

MISSOURI – As reported by the Oakville-Mehlville Journal: "St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley asked for legislation last week that authorizes the county to enter into an agreement with four local agencies and a casino company to build a road to the proposed Lemay Casino.

"The Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement is among St. Louis County, the St. Louis County Port Authority, City of St. Louis, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of St. Louis, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) and Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.

"The pact paves the way for the construction and maintenance of an access road to the former National Lead Industries site.

"…Pinnacle Entertainment is paying for the road which will be built along the River des Peres and cut across part of the vacant Defense Mapping Agency property and MSD property on South Broadway. Once built the roadway, estimated to cost $20 million, will be maintained by the county, Earls said…"
