Missouri Casinos Report Mixed Results

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Two Kansas City-area casinos reported higher revenue and two reported lower revenue in May compared with last year, according to statistics the Missouri Gaming Commission released Thursday.

"May revenue for the Kansas City market as a whole totaled $58 million, up 11 percent from $52.3 million last year.

"Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City led area casinos in revenue for the eighth-consecutive month, at $20.1 million, up 15 percent from $17.6 million last year.

"…Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $16.2 million, down 9 percent from $17.7 million last year.

"…Argosy Casino reported revenue of $12.9 million, up 58 percent from $8.2 million last year.

"…Isle of Capri Casino posted revenue of $8.7 million, down 2 percent from $8.9 million last year…"
