Missouri casino plan criticized

MISSOURI – As reported by the Kansas City Star: "Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon on Monday scolded Gov. Matt Blunt over an administration plan to temporarily operate a casino.

"…He was referring to the commission's plan, approved Friday, to operate Casino Aztar in Caruthersville, Mo., until a buyer can be found and licensed.

"Blunt spokesman Brian Hauswirth said Monday: 'We respect the attorney general's opinion, but we think he's off-base on this'…"
