Missouri: Casino money may go to schools

20 September 2010

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri -- This week Missouri's state auditor will decide if more casino money should go to schools, KOMU reported.

In 2008 a measure called Proposition A was introduced to lift "loss limits" at casinos with a view to generate more revenue and thus more revenue for education, the KOMU report said.

However the recession has hit Missouri hard with revenue down at 7 of the 11 casinos, KOMU reported.
