Mississippi to Speed Up Game Testing

MISSISSIPPI – As reported by the Mississippi Sun Herald: "The Mississippi Gaming Commission has started a pilot program to let an independent lab test some new technology, a move expected to allow the latest games and money-saving systems to arrive in casinos faster.

"BMM Test Labs in Las Vegas has been authorized to test ticket-in, ticket-out payment systems for slot machines during a 90-day test period that started Monday.

"…Larry Gregory, executive director of the gaming commission, said by farming out the work, the state labs will be able to concentrate on approving new slot machines. Gregory said the plan is to reduce the time of approving slot machines from as long as nine months down to 90 days…"
