Mississippi Casino Has New Developer and Theme

11 May 2005

BILOXI, Mississippi – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "The proposed Rock-N-Roll Casino has a new name and a new developer.

"The developer, Onnam Entertainment of Philadelphia, Pa., wants to put the Havana Casino Resort where the music-themed project had been proposed. Onnam is scheduled to go before the Mississippi Gaming Commission next week to have 10 acres on Clay Point declared a legal gambling site - the first step in the state permit process.

"The property is owned by Ray Sims of Hattiesburg.

"…The Havana Casino is the latest in a series of new ventures proposed for the Coast, which already has a dozen casinos.

"…Little information was available about Onnam Entertainment. No officers or directors were listed with the business filing made with the Pennsylvania Department of State in 2001. Michael Cavanaugh, the lawyer for Onnam, said more information about the development group and the casino would be released at next week's Gaming Commission meeting."
