Middleboro doesn't want to share compensation24 May 2007MIDDLEBORO, Massachusetts -- As reported by the Enterprise: "Middleboro officials are ready to trump any claims by neighboring communities for compensation should a casino be located in town. "On Tuesday, Bridgewater selectmen appointed board member Mark Oliari to approach Middleboro to discuss potential costs associated with problems that may be dealt to Bridgewater if a Mashpee Wampanoag casino is located in Middleboro. "But it is no dice, as Middleboro Selectman Wayne C. Perkins said he will talk with Oliari, 'but I'm not willing to give up anything I've negotiated for the people I represent in the town of Middleboro.'
