Mid-States Poker Tour expands to Milwaukee21 April 2014(PRESS RELEASE) -- The PokerNews Mid-States Poker Tour has added another huge stop to the rapidly expanding tour – this time making its first ever stop at the beautiful and massive Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, WI. Just an hour drive from Chicago, Milwaukee is one of the top 30 most populous cities in the United States and the largest city in the state of Wisconsin. The MSPT at Potawatomi Casino will take place August 30 – September 7, 2014 and boast a $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event prize pool. The $1,100 Main Event Day 1A will be at 4pm on Friday, September 5 and Day 1B at 4pm on Saturday, September 6 – with the conclusion of the event to be played on Sunday, September 7. The MSPT has been setting records across several states thus far in 2014 and looks to drive a HUGE, record crowd this September in Milwaukee. The current Wisconsin state prize pool record was established by the MSPT in March at $382,000, where Jason Sell took home $97,539 for the win. This latest addition to the MSPT schedule now makes 20 events in 9 states during the 2014 season, with potentially more exciting stops to be announced. The Poker Room at Potawatomi Bingo Casino has fast-paced action and a spacious, comfortable setting unmatched anywhere in the area. They offer 20-tables that are open 24 hours a day with all games including Limit, No-Limit Hold’em, Stud and Omaha. They are also known for extremely high bad beat jackpots – currently sitting at $136,222. Set in the heart of Milwaukee, Potawatomi Casino has everything you would want: table games, slots, bingo, poker, off-track betting. And if you need to take a break from gambling, you can check out one of their six restaurants or stunning 500-seat theater.
