Michigan Tribes Appoint Casino Head

PESHAWBESTOWN, Michigan – As reported by the Traverse City Record Eagle: "The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians named Ron Olson, an American Indian, to head up its casino operations.

"Olson, general manager for Victories Casino and Hotel in Petoskey since 2000, will serve as chief executive officer of Traverse Bay Entertainment, the tribe said Monday.

"Olson eventually may look at creating a casino at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, said Chris Bussey, assistant executive director.

"…Olson replaces chief executive officer Jeff Livingston whose resignation took effect in July…"
