Michigan tribal casino gets name20 September 2007STANDISH, Michigan -- As reported by the Bay City Times: "With its new Arenac County casino under construction, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe has chosen Saganing Eagle's Landing Casino as the facility's new name. "And the Mount Pleasant-based tribe, which owns the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort there, is expanding its business presence in Arenac with the purchase of a marina on Saginaw Bay. "The tribe recently acquired the former Great Lakes Shores Marina and has renamed it Eagle Bay Marina. The marina is about two miles from the new casino site. "The new casino is on Worth Road, about three miles east of that intersection. That's where the tribe owns 70 acres that make up its Saganing Indian Reservation lands..." |
