Michigan Tribal Casino Breaks Ground

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Petoskey News-Review: "The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians will break ground on its new casino/hotel/entertainment complex at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1.

"Tribal Chairman Frank Ettawageshik said the event will include a pipe ceremony and honor song. Other details are still forthcoming.

"The new facility will be located on a 97-acre parcel of land on Cemetery Road, south of Petoskey.

"The plans feature an eight-story hotel, with roof-top dining. Ettawageshik said in a previous story the design of the hotel will allow every guest room to have a view of either Little Traverse Bay or Lake Michigan…"
