Michigan Town to Hold Casino Vendor Fair

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Kalamazoo Gazette: "The Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians and the Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a two-day vendor-interest fair next week in anticipation of receiving state approval for a new gaming casino in Wayland Township.

"The event will allow businesspeople to learn about the products and services that will be needed if the Gun Lake Band receives final approval to build its casino.

"The Kalamazoo chamber, the Allegan Area Chamber of Commerce and the Barry County Chamber of Commerce have supported the Indian tribe's efforts to convert a 192,000-square-foot unused factory building into a casino and entertainment complex.

"…The fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Kalamazoo chamber building, 346 W. Michigan Ave…"
