Michigan online betting figures dip in June 2026

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a combined $341.3 million in internet gaming and online sports betting gross receipts in June, a 10.8% decrease from May 2026.

Monthly Gross Receipts
June iGaming gross receipts totaled $301.2 million. June online sports betting gross receipts reached $40.1 million.

Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts
Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) totaled $309.36 million for June, including $289.21 million from iGaming and $20.15 million from online sports betting.

Compared with May 2026, iGaming AGR decreased 1.5% and online sports betting AGR declined 13.4%. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR was up 28.0%, while online sports betting AGR decreased by 33.9%.

Monthly Handle
Online sports betting handle totaled $366.1 million, a 20.0% decrease from May 2026.

Monthly State Taxes and Payments
Operators submitted $62.3 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan in June, including:

- iGaming taxes and fees: $60.8 million
- Online sports betting taxes and fees: $1.5 million

Monthly City of Detroit Taxes and Payments
The three Detroit casinos reported $13.96 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit in June, including:

- iGaming taxes and fees: $13.5 million
- Online sports betting taxes and fees: $460,753

Monthly Tribal Operators’ Payments
Tribal operators reported $8.4 million in payments to governing bodies in June.
