Michigan Lottery Names Casino Millions Finalists

20 May 2004

LANSING, Michigan – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Five lucky Michigan Lottery players will be one step closer to becoming an instant multi-millionaire on Friday, June 11, 2004. That is when the Michigan Lottery will be conducting a drawing to select five finalists who will participate in a grand-prize drawing for the "Casino Millions" instant game.

The "Casino Millions" game is different from most other Michigan Lottery instant games because the $2,000,000 top prize will be awarded through a drawing. Winners of $1,000 prizes in the "Casino Millions" instant game are automatically entered into the finalist drawing.

All $1,000 winning tickets for the "Casino Millions" game that are claimed before the close of business on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 will qualify for the finalist drawing. In order to claim a $1,000 prize, winners must redeem their ticket at a Lottery regional office or licensed bank claim center. From the complete pool of qualifiers, five finalists will be selected on Friday, June 11 to participate in the grand-prize drawing.

"I urge all Lottery players to make sure their $1,000 winning tickets for this game are turned in by the end of the business day on Wednesday, June 9," said Gary Peters, Lottery Commissioner. "We are looking forward to learning who the five lucky finalists will be for the grand-prize drawing. The excitement over this game will continue to build until one lucky winner is awarded a $2,000,000 prize!"

The grand-prize drawing will be held at Michigan International Speedway prior to a NASCAR race on Sunday, June 20, 2004.
