Michigan iGaming, sports betting operators report $312.54 million in August 2025 revenue18 September 2025(PRESS RELEASE) -- Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined total of $312.54 million in gross receipts from internet gaming and internet sports betting for August. This reflects a 9.8% increase compared to July. Monthly Gross Receipts iGaming gross receipts for August totaled $263.27 million, up from $250.5 million in July. Gross sports betting receipts were $49.27 million, up from $34.1 million recorded in the previous month. Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for iGaming and internet sports betting reached $281.4 million in August. Of that total, $247.2 million came from iGaming, and $34.2 million came from internet sports betting. This marks a 5.1% increase in iGaming AGR and a 43.1% increase in sports betting AGR compared to July. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 39.8%, while sports betting AGR increased by $17.9 million compared to August 2024. Monthly Handle The total internet sports betting handle was $338.9 million in August, a 19.9% increase from the $282.7 million recorded in July. Monthly State Taxes and Payments Operators reported submitting $53.7 million in state taxes and payments in August, including: - iGaming taxes and fees: $51.6 million - Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $2.1 million Monthly City of Detroit Taxes and Payments Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $13.8 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit in August, including: - iGaming taxes and fees: $13.2 million - Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $561,471 Monthly Tribal Operator Payments Tribal operators reported $6.2 million in payments made to their respective governing bodies in August. |
