Michigan iGaming and sports betting revenue for November19 December 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a combined $209.2 million total internet gaming gross receipts and gross sports betting receipts in November. Gross receipts increased 1.9% compared to October results. November iGaming gross receipts totaled $175.3 million, the highest to date. The previous high was $171.8 million recorded in March 2023. Gross sports betting receipts for November totaled $33.9 million. Last month, iGaming gross receipts were $160.3 million and gross sports betting receipts were $45 million. Combined total iGaming and internet sports betting adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for November were $158.1 million, including $157.8 million from iGaming and $294,810 from internet sports betting — representing an iGaming increase of 9.4% and a 98.7% decrease for sports betting when compared to October 2023. Compared to November 2022 reported revenues, iGaming AGR was up by 20.5% and sports betting was down by 98.9%. Total internet sports betting handle at $568.8 million was up by 6.7% from the $533 million handle recorded in October 2023. This is the highest internet sports betting handle to date. The operators reported submitting $33.6 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan during November, including: - Internet gaming taxes and fees: $32.9 million - Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $740,056 The three Detroit casinos reported paying the City of Detroit $8.4 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees during November, including: - Internet gaming taxes and fees: $8.2 million - Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $180,872 Tribal operators reported making $4.1 million in payments to governing bodies in November. As of November, a total of 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to launch iGaming and/or internet sports betting. Currently, 14 commercial and tribal operators offer internet sports betting, and 15 operators offer iGaming.
