Michigan Casino Plan Advances

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Wood TV: "It seems waiting has paid off for a tribe trying to build a casino in West Michigan.

"The Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians wants a casino in Wayland Township and a recent decision by the federal government has put the project one step closer to reality.

"…Bob Wagner, a casino supporter said, 'I think it's great. It's one of those things everyone's been waiting for.'

"… 'What it's about is money and greed,' said Todd Borsma, President of Mich-Go, an opposition group against the casino.

"…The tribe disagrees. Tribal chairman, D.K. Sprague, points out the job opportunities…"
