Michael Carbonaro to perform at Rivers Casino Schenectady28 March 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Magician, comedian, improv artist and actor Michael Carbonaro will amaze guests at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center on Sunday, 5 May 2019. Known for his original hidden camera magic series, The Carbonaro Effect on truTV, the family-friendly Michael Carbonaro Live! tour has been wowing audiences of all ages across the country with an evening jam-packed with incredible mind-blowing magic and laughs. Tickets go on sale Friday, 29 March at 10 a.m. and start at $50. Tickets are available online, tickets.proctors.org or the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. A performing magician since his youth, Carbonaro studied experimental theater at New York University with the aspirations of entertaining audiences through a variety of theatrical mediums, including hidden camera magic. He later showcased his jaw-dropping illusions frequently on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Carbonaro’s late night appearances then launched him into stardom through his hit comedic series, The Carbonaro Effect on truTV, where he performs inventive tricks on unsuspecting members of the public who are unaware that he is a magician. He’s also been seen on television shows Happily Divorced, 30 Rock, Grey’s Anatomy and CSI Miami. Carbonaro’s extensive list of accolades includes the OUTFEST Best Actor award as well as the Magician of the Year honor, bestowed upon him by the Academy of Magical Arts in 2015. In 2016, he was the inaugural recipient of the Copperfield Prize, which recognizes an individual for elevating the art of magic. |
